Finally the McIntosh MX-136 is up and running again. Fitted the discrete opamps but unfortunately ran into a problem where one channel stopped working… Eventually tracked it down to a signal ground having an intermittent connection.
I have just finished watching a movie and the sound difference is amazing. The sound seems considerably more dynamic, and significantly more detail is now realised, overall a fantastic upgrade.
