In this video, Passion for Sound compares the Burson V6 Classic and V6 Vivid op amps in a Burson Fun, using the OPA627 as a reference point.
The V6 Classic delivers “a very rich and warm sound”, a good match for leaner systems such as the Sennheiser HD 800 S.
The V6 Vivid “makes for really engaging and enjoyable listening so I’d highly recommend it.” Against the OPA627, “it wasn’t even a contest”.
“I think they’re a fantastic op-amp I highly recommend them.”
