The System
Listening with
- Impedance: 50 Ω
- Sensitivity: 88 dB/mW ≈ 101.0 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 5 Hz – 45 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: 2.5 m 4-pin XLR cable with 6.3 mm adaptor (JPS Labs); other terminations optional
Matching notes: At 50 Ω and 88 dB/mW, the AB-1266 Phi TC is a low-impedance load, and a fairly demanding one: about 2.8 V (158 mW, 56 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 50 Ω rating for the Soloist 3X GT. Its 32 Ω and 100 Ω ratings (8 W XLR / 4 W SE; 3.8 W XLR / 1.9 W SE) fall either side of it. The Soloist 3X GT’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/100 of the load. [1] [2] [3]
- Impedance: 200 Ω
- Sensitivity: 97 dB/1mW (at Drum Reference Point) ≈ 104.0 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 5 Hz – 50 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: 1.9 m 6.35 mm to dual 4-pin mini-XLR cable
- Other: recommended power >500 mW;
Matching notes: At 200 Ω and 97 dB/mW, the LCD-4 is a high-impedance load that needs voltage more than current: about 2 V (20 mW, 10 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 200 Ω rating for the Soloist 3X GT. Its 100 Ω and 300 Ω ratings (3.8 W XLR / 1.9 W SE; 1.3 W XLR / 0.65 W SE) fall either side of it. The Soloist 3X GT’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/400 of the load. [4] [2] [3]
- Impedance: 30 Ω
- Sensitivity: 100 dB SPL / mW @ 1 kHz ≈ 115.2 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 4 Hz – 92 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: dual 3.5 mm TS cup sockets (current page)
Matching notes: At 30 Ω and 100 dB/mW, the Meze Liric is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.55 V (10 mW, 18 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 30 Ω rating for the Soloist 3X GT. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (10 W XLR / 5 W SE; 8 W XLR / 4 W SE) fall either side of it. The Soloist 3X GT’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/60 of the load. [5] [6] [2] [3]
- Impedance: 20 Ω
- Sensitivity: 100 dB/1mW (at Drum Reference Point) ≈ 117.0 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 10 Hz – 50 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: 1.9 m 4-pin XLR cable with 6.35 mm adapter
- Other: recommended power >250 mW (min >100 mW; max 5 W RMS);
Matching notes: At 20 Ω and 100 dB/mW, the Audeze LCD-XC is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.45 V (10 mW, 22 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 20 Ω rating for the Soloist 3X GT. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (10 W XLR / 5 W SE; 8 W XLR / 4 W SE) fall either side of it. The Soloist 3X GT’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/40 of the load. [7] [2] [3]

Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
