Audeze MM-500 · Headphones: open-back, planar magnetic, circumaural
  • Impedance: 18 Ω
  • Sensitivity: 100 dB/1mW (at Drum Reference Point) ≈ 117.4 dB/V (calc.)
  • Frequency response: 5 Hz – 50 kHz
  • Plugs / cables supplied: braided cable; 6.35 to 3.5 mm adapter (terminations not stated)
  • Other: recommended power >250 mW (min >100 mW; max 5 W RMS);

Matching notes: At 18 Ω and 100 dB/mW, the MM-500 is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.42 V (10 mW, 24 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 18 Ω rating for the Conductor 3X Reference. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (7.5 W XLR / 3.75 W SE; 5 W XLR / 2.5 W SE) fall either side of it. The Conductor 3X Reference’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/36 of the load. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Meze Liric · Headphones: closed-back, planar magnetic (Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array MZ4), circumaural · discontinued
  • Impedance: 30 Ω
  • Sensitivity: 100 dB SPL / mW @ 1 kHz ≈ 115.2 dB/V (calc.)
  • Frequency response: 4 Hz – 92 kHz
  • Plugs / cables supplied: dual 3.5 mm TS cup sockets (current page)

Matching notes: At 30 Ω and 100 dB/mW, the Meze Liric is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.55 V (10 mW, 18 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 30 Ω rating for the Conductor 3X Reference. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (7.5 W XLR / 3.75 W SE; 5 W XLR / 2.5 W SE) fall either side of it. The Conductor 3X Reference’s 0.5 Ω headphone output impedance is 1/60 of the load. [5] [6] [2] [3] [4]

Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
