Klaus’s Burson V5i Opamp with Cambridge DacMagic 100

Published on

Post Info

The DacMagic 100 has a standard NE5532 installed. The sound is OK but somehow unspectacular. Somewhat difficult was the installation of the SOP8 to DIP8 adapter. After replacing the NE5532 with the V5i, the DacMagic is unrecognizable. The complete sound is more precise, more open. Instruments are better recognized. The sound stage is wider and deeper. Equipping the DacMagic 100 with the V5i was one of the best decisions, taking the DAC to a new level. Thank you, Burson.
