V5i is a spacious opamp. I love it.
The amplifier was standard with OPA2604 op amps. After upgrade the amplifier starts to sound very good. The music have very good texture. The scene are very wide and deep. The every instrument play in own space. I’m very happy with this upgrade.
It was easy to install, and easy to notice the difference with the older Op Amps (Muses 8820 and Muses 8920). With only 3 seconds of music playback we noticed an huge improvement: More detailed sound, bigger and controlled bass, detailed mids and vocals and accurate highs without being too bright. Perfect! Thanks!!
Installation went without issues. Sounds way better than before the upgrade. However I still prefer Soloist SL with cans I have.
Burson V5i has replaced AD8066 in output filter section of Akai cd69 that is already highly upgreaded. The sound became more natural, soundstage greater and deeper with distinct instrument separation in space. Bass became more defined and gained more low end extension depth. Overal better sound!

i have now had a mere two days of using the burson v5i it replaced a dual opa627 in the buffer position on my asus xonar hdav1.3, that was initially occupied by the stock supplied (LM)4562NA having decided in short order that the opa627 was an improvement on the 4562na i never changed it out […]
