Meze 99 Noir · Headphones: closed-back, dynamic (40 mm), circumaural · discontinued
  • Impedance: 32 Ω
  • Sensitivity: 103 dB SPL / mW @ 1 kHz ≈ 117.9 dB/V (calc.)
  • Frequency response: 15 Hz – 25 kHz
  • Plugs / cables supplied: dual 3.5 mm TS cup sockets; 6.3 mm and airplane adapters
  • Other: max input 50 mW

Matching notes: At 32 Ω and 103 dB/mW, the 99 Noir is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.4 V (5 mW, 13 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson rates the Funk at 2.5 W (SE) into 32 Ω, which is about 8.9 V RMS (calc.), roughly 27 dB more than that. The Funk’s under 2 Ω headphone output impedance is less than 1/16 of the load. Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
