Laurence’s Burson V5i Opamp with FX Audio DAC-SQ5

Published on

Post Info

Replaced stock op-amps OPA2604 and LME49720. First impression was full of surprises. Very much improved stereo separation and crystal clarity. Soundstage widened by an arm’s length in both channels. Stereo-imaging improved. Vocal moves backward a tad bit. Sibilant and grain gone! Top-end more open and airy. Low-end tighter and controlled without being forceful. Improved bass extension. Overall sounds more musical and “relaxed”… Fantastic stuff!
