Amazing small amplifier Easily drive KEF LS50 Meta, Ultra good sound quality. Ultra good headphone sound quality,
Thanks.
The System
Listening with
- Impedance: 8 Ω (minimum 3.5 Ω)
- Sensitivity: 85 dB (2.83 V / 1 m)
- Frequency response: 79 Hz – 28 kHz (±3 dB); 47 Hz – 45 kHz range
- Recommended amplifier power: 40 – 100 W
- Other: max SPL 106 dB
Matching notes: The LS50 Meta is rated at 85 dB (2.83 V / 1 m) into 8 Ω nominal (3.5 Ω minimum). Burson rates the Funk at 35 W into 8 Ω and 45 W into 4 Ω. At that rating the speaker would reach about 100 dB SPL at 1 m (calc., one speaker, before room gain). KEF recommends 40 – 100 W amplifiers. [1] [2] [3] [4]
- Impedance: 30 Ω
- Sensitivity: 100 dB SPL / mW @ 1 kHz ≈ 115.2 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 4 Hz – 92 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: dual 3.5 mm TS cup sockets (current page)
Matching notes: At 30 Ω and 100 dB/mW, the Meze Liric is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.55 V (10 mW, 18 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 30 Ω rating for the Funk. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (3.5 W SE; 2.5 W SE) fall either side of it. The Funk’s under 2 Ω headphone output impedance is less than 1/15 of the load. [5] [6] [2] [3] [4]

Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
