For a headphone amp, Funk is good match for my Grado, power enough, with Burson Opamp V6 vivid the sound is sharp and fast, for a power amp Funk is slightly not power enough for some classical music but for general listening is very good. The form factor is good for modern home since not a lot of space
The System
Listening with
- Impedance: 4 Ω
- Sensitivity: 87.5 dB (1 W / 1 m)
- Frequency response: 42 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB)
- Recommended amplifier power: 30 – 100 W
- Other: crossover 2.3 kHz 2nd order; break-in 70-100 h; 356 x 173 x 231 mm
Matching notes: The Totem Acoustic Rainmaker is rated at 87.5 dB (1 W / 1 m) into 4 Ω nominal. Burson rates the Funk at 35 W into 8 Ω and 45 W into 4 Ω. At that rating the speaker would reach about 104 dB SPL at 1 m (calc., one speaker, before room gain). Totem Acoustic recommends 30 – 100 W amplifiers. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
- Impedance: 32 Ω
- Sensitivity: 99.8 dB SPL / 1 mW ≈ 114.7 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 20 Hz – 22 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: fixed cable, 6.3 mm plug (3.5 mm adapter)
- Other: driver matching 0.05 dB
Matching notes: At 32 Ω and 99.8 dB/mW, the SR225e is a low-impedance load: about 0.58 V (10 mW, 18 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson rates the Funk at 2.5 W (SE) into 32 Ω, which is about 8.9 V RMS (calc.), roughly 24 dB more than that. The Funk’s under 2 Ω headphone output impedance is less than 1/16 of the load. Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
