Aune X8 Magic DAC (X8200433) with Burson V5i Opamp upgrade

Using the V5i as an op amp for the DAC amplification stage. Only just dropped it in, but I’m noticing the soundstage is a little more open. Looking forward to continue listening to it!

Duoo XD-05 PLUS with Burson V5i Dual Opamp

Drive power of Duoo XD-05 became little lower after the install of V5i-D, overall sound quality is suit for what I am expected (human sound little bit backward, better sound atmosphere.)

Easy to make the switch, Have put in a .1µF ceramic cap over pins 4 and 7. Overall result a lot of improvement overall. Most notable midrange and frequency extension. I love how those things do voices.

Massive difference in clarity and soundstage. The bass is much tighter and I can hear more of the nuances in the sound. The highs have more air to them as well.

Installed the V5i dual on a little dot 1+, noticeable improvement on the sound quality. the V5i single on the Topping A30 on the hand was a DOA, returning for a replacement.

Topping, A30, With Burson V5i-D Opamp upgrade

Bass hits harder and feels tighter. Not as distorted at higher volumes. Highs are more balanced and dont sound as harsh as they did with my DT 990 Pro’s.
