V5i discrete audio opamp customer feedback
I purchased the V5i OP-AMPS for my EVGA NU Audio Pro sound card. The OP-AMP replacement was really easy. The resulting sound, while not yet broken in, is already incredible! The soundstage width and all levels of sound have been enhanced quite a bit over the default OP-AMPS. Thanks for such an incredible, inexpensive product!
The V5i D is for the Topping D50s. Previously I was using MUSES02 in it. After switching to V5i D I swear it right away sounded more “Vinyl” and much warmer than MUSES. I also find the soundstage deeper but not exaggerated and defined. Over all I am very happy with it.
Easy installation exactly as described “easiest plug-in upgrade for any audio project”. Greatly improve the sound.
I only listened to regular OPamp before, like ne5532an, opa2134 and opa2604.
Sound I great and warm. The soundstage also bigger and bass is more delicate.
V5i Opamp improved the clarity and soundstage of XD-05 Plus significantly at the cost of warmth.
My biggest surprise after installing the burson v5i was not the sound improvement (i can hear a bit more of the sound, the treble is reigned back for the better, the bass slams a tad more, better dynamics and a tiny bit more imaging.) Took a long burn in time, however, the sound separation is fantastic. Works fantastically with my current setup. Just be careful not to drop as you might bend some of the pins on its fall (almost happened to me!). It fits into this just fine with a small clearance on the top which will fit […]
