I’m absolutely loving my new Burson Playmate 3 Deluxe! Right out of the box, it sounds incredible—clear, dynamic, and with an impressive depth that makes every listening session enjoyable. The soundstage feels expansive, and there’s a level of refinement that instantly elevates the experience. I’m excited to continue exploring its full potential and really look forward to enjoying this piece of equipment for many years to come. It’s already proving to be a fantastic addition to my setup!
The System
Listening with
- Impedance: 25 Ω
- Sensitivity: 105 dB/mW ≈ 121.0 dB/V (calc.)
- Frequency response: 5 Hz – 55 kHz
- Plugs / cables supplied: detachable 3.0 m 7N copper cable; dual 3.5 mm at cups
- Other: max input 1,800 mW; 385 g; walnut ear cups
Matching notes: At 25 Ω and 105 dB/mW, the AH-D7200 is a low-impedance load, and an efficient one: about 0.28 V (3.2 mW, 11 mA) for 110 dB SPL (calc.). Burson does not publish a 25 Ω rating for the Playmate 3. Its 16 Ω and 32 Ω ratings (3.5 W SE; 2.5 W SE) fall either side of it. The Playmate 3’s under 2 Ω headphone output impedance is less than 1/12 of the load. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Specs from manufacturer data unless a source below says otherwise. “calc.” values are worked out from those figures (V = √(P × R); 110 dB SPL used as a loud reference level). Gear listed without specs is not in our spec library yet.
