In the box

  • Works worldwide, with UK, US and two-pin plug adapters
  • A 1.8 metre (five feet) cable with a velcro tie
  • “It’s not as big as i would have expected”

How it sounds

He was, in his own words, very, very, very, very surprised. On female vocals, “you can actually just feel that breath”.

  • It lifts the staging, the presence and the musicality “just that degree more and it’s beautiful it’s utterly beautiful”
  • With good headphones like the HiFiMan Arya Stealth, “just exquisite utterly exquisite”
  • With rock and drums, “the timing just becomes it’s just a wonderful experience”

An honest note

He is open that the lift is not proportional to the spend: “it’s probably lifting it probably 20 25” percent, “but i think that’s worth it”. He also notes the benefit depends on your mains power at home.

Verdict

“It does supercharge the music but in a way that gives more intricate more timing better vocals”. Instead of buying a whole new piece of equipment, he says, you can upgrade the power adapter, and “you can use this on other” Burson products too.
