Burson Soloist Prime: Endgame Headphone Power Amplifier
The Burson Soloist Prime is a pure Class-A headphone power amplifier designed for listeners who control volume through their DAC, music streamer or source component.
By removing the volume control, preamp stage and display, we created the space to realise our design ideals.
Its true dual-mono layout and deeper Class-A bias deliver greater signal separation and noise rejection. Powerful, precise and uncompromising, the Soloist Prime is an endgame amplifier for listeners who want to be truly moved by their favourite music.
A Brand-New Two-Story Powerhouse
For the first time, the Soloist Prime uses a two-layer internal architecture powered by ten Max Current Power Supplies—double the five MCPS used in the already uncompromising Soloist Voyager. It is a clear expression of our relentless focus on power delivery and our belief that exceptional audio amplification starts with an exceptional power supply.
The Quiet Upper Layer
This is where the most delicate audio signals enter the Prime. Six fully shielded MCPS independently power the input buffer stage with V7 Vivid Pro opamps, as well as the dual-mono, IEM output stage. The mirror-symmetrical layout keeps the channels separated while minimising cross-channel and airborne EMI interference.
Thunder from Down Under
Four additional MCPS power a redesigned, dual-mono amplification stage built around high-performance MOSFET power transistors selected for deep Class-A bias. Delivering up to 12W per channel via balanced XLR, the Soloist Prime delivers pinpoint accuracy, effortless control and a sound that is truly out of this world.
20 Years of Sonic Mastery
The Soloist Prime features our V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps, refined through 20 years of industry-leading innovation. Widely regarded across the audio industry as among the best audio opamps available, they deliver the dynamics, texture and transparency that define the Burson house sound.
Dedicated IEM Amplification
The Soloist Prime Deluxe uses an independently powered IEM module built around two TPA6120A2 amplifier chips, delivering ultra-low 0.001% THD+N, a 1300 V/µs slew rate and a pitch-black background.
The Soloist Prime Max goes fully discrete and fully Class-A—the true Burson way. With 10W idle power consumption and 1W output via balanced XLR, its true dual-mono, mirror-symmetrical design is purpose-built for sensitive, low-impedance IEMs.

Cooler by Design
The Burson Soloist Prime features a further optimised enclosure designed to promote natural ventilation and significantly improve cooling efficiency. This allows the amplifier to operate deep into Class-A bias while remaining cool and quiet.
By managing heat more effectively, the Soloist Prime delivers greater stability, smoother performance and uncompromised sound quality throughout even the longest listening sessions, all while looking sexier than ever.
Super Charge It, or Go Fusion
The Soloist Prime Deluxe comes powered by the Burson Super Charger, operating at twice the frequency of a conventional power supply for cleaner, more responsive performance.
The Soloist Prime Max goes further with the GaN-powered Burson Fusion Core. Operating at over one million hertz, it pushes AC-to-DC conversion noise beyond human hearing while delivering ultra-low-noise, high-current power.
For this end-game amplifier, the Fusion Core is the ultimate power upgrade.
